30 Day BOOKS Challenge – Day 11

Day 11: A book that you have reread the most of the times?

A Gathering Light (also published as A Northern Light) by Jennifer Donnelly is one book that has been reread the maximum number of times. Even more than the Harry Potter series! I fall short of words when it comes to describing the brilliance that the book has. Give it a try, will you? 😀

  1. Hmm, I’ve read Mary Renault’s The Last of the Wine, quite a few times. Maybe not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s set in ancient Greece, but that’s not what grabs me. It’s a whole life story of a man from childhood onwards coming to terms with who he is and his place in the world. It’s a love story, a history and a story of morals, from a different period and perspective than our own.

    • I must say you are quite well read Hilary! And I am sure the book is really interesting. I know it is wrong to judge a book by its name alone…but this one sure looks inviting 😊

  2. I think I have read several books over, about 20 times….several of them are by an author who wrote about 1898-1920…Grace Richmond. Dracula is another. Like the Harry Potter series, a story of good ovrrcoming evil, honor, friendship, uncommon valor, a villain obsessed and overcome by a hero obsessed.
