Write For Scribbling Owlet

Yes, I am also open to Guestposts on my blog. Here are some very simple guidelines:

  • You can submit posts that have a word count of 300 to 1500 words approx. It can be short but complete in every sense. It can be more than 1500, but then, divide it into a series and send.
  • Make sure that your post is devoid of any typos (some are okay…we are humans not bots) and grammar errors.
  • Use bullet points wherever necessary or headings.
  • Don’t forget to include your Author Bio and a link to your blog.
  • Don’t send me posts full of links in the body text.
  • Posts dotted with colorful words such as @$#$!@#$%^& will not be entertained.
  • There is a wide range of topics you can write about. Some tentative topics that I will accept are:
    • Personal anecdotes
    • A page out of your diary/journal/art journal
    • A photograph that triggers memories
    • Books, books, books (mostly fiction. I can consider non-fiction if it is remarkably good) I also accept original reviews of books as guestpost.
    • Geeky stuff such as unique review of TV Shows
    • Art and Craft/ DIY hobbies/ How to articles about art and crafts etc.
    • Tutorials on photography, gardening and of course, upcycling or recycling.
    • Pets. I love animals and I have pets. I know they have a lot of stories associated with them. Bring it on:)
  • I steer clear of controversy. No controversial posts please.
  • I do not accept Buzzfeed type or ScoopWhoop type listicles with insane GIFs.
  • Provide photographs that are original and watermarked. I can definitely watermark them for you using Picasa photo-editor. But that will delay the process of publishing. If you are in a hurry, please do the needful. Please do not use photographs available online. If you send a post without photo, I will accept it. But no plagiarism of any kind.
  • Submitting your posts does not mean it will be automatically get added on my blog. I will handpick from the best of posts and select only the well-written ones. If they are all well-written, they will definitely be posted on the blog.
  • Do not send more than one short post per week and one long post per month.
